Re-engineering to help local health authorities in their time of need

The COVID-19 pandemic has put a strain on stocks of medical and protective equipment across the world, this is also true for Danish hospitals and elderly care homes.

At Palsgaard, we were able to respond to this situation by re-engineering some of our pilot plant equipment to produce medical-grade hand sanitiser gel, which has been donated free of charge to our local health authority.

Over 2000 litres of hand sanitiser has been donated during the first production run.

We have worked closely with “Denmark helps Denmark” – set up by the Danish Medicines Agency to co-ordinate private sector assistance during the virus crisis. Their programme ensures that help is given to those areas most in need of support.
