Palsgaard's company values

Einar Viggo Schou, who acquired the Palsgaard Estate in 1908 and subsequently established the industrial enterprises there, could express the core values that were close to his heart in just three words:

Loyalty - diligence - persistence: words that acted as guiding principles for his entire life and work and that still live on in the spirit of our company.

Today, over one hundred years later, Palsgaard's values are fundamentally the same, albeit expressed slightly different as: loyalty - responsibility - commitment.

For Palsgaard, to be loyal, responsible and committed means:

For the company:

• that we act as a reliable and honourable business partner for our customers
• that our products are of the highest quality
• that our products are technically well-functioning and satisfy the customer's requirements
• that we expect our employees always to put customers first
• that we provide a good and enjoyable workplace
• that we show social responsibility towards our employees
• that we support skill enhancement for our employees, to the benefit of both the individual and Palsgaard as a whole
• that we work proactively
• that we act and manufacture our products responsibly, using as few resources as possible

For the manager:          

• that I carry out decisions in conformity with the overall strategy and wishes of Palsgaard
• that I utilise all available resources in an optimal manner
• that I comply with the decisions of the management board
• that I lead the way and feel a duty to comply with Palsgaard's values   
• that I feel responsible for ensuring that my area of responsibility achieves its goals
• that I guide, help and support my employees
• that I draw up challenging but realistic goals for individual employees
• that I am a good example to others
• that I foster employee confidence and wellbeing
• that I involve the employees and create common ground and goals for day-to-day work

For the employee:

• that I always do what I can to create satisfied customers in accordance with Palsgaard's strategy
• that I am service-minded and show a personal commitment towards customers
• that I display openness towards change, and a positive, constructive and flexible attitude
• that I am attentive to my behaviour in relation to Palsgaard's reputation
• that I am economically responsible and protect Palsgaard's values
• that I am conscientious and quality-conscious in my work
• that I display respect, tolerance and helpfulness towards others
• that I accept responsibility for my own tasks and for the whole
• that I show an interest in my work and contribute to the development of Palsgaard
